Samantha was a very intelligent lady who was very curious about the whole experience of being hypnotized. We noticed that at a few points during the shoot she’d start dissecting and analysing just what she was feeling and experiencing, and trying to work out why it was happening in that way. Getting her to a depth suitable for shooting took a little longer than usual, partly down to the analysis, partly down to some discomfort from getting her arm caught during the “floating hand” depth tester, and partly because there was noisy renovation work going on in the same building as us.

As a result, we’ve split the shoot into a separate induction and suggestion portion.
